History 

Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) is one of the biggest community churches in Indonesia. Eventually many migrated from Indonesia and a community of Bataks gathered together to establish the first HKBP in California, USA in 1994. HKBP CA Redlands proceeded to grow and now has a partnership with ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). Because of that, our church name becomes HKBP CA-ELCA REDLANDS. With the partnership, we have been able to serve in the USA from our main headquarters in Indonesia.
